Girl Loves Boy, indeed
Jesus, how long has it been since i’ve blogged about Takki?? LOL
i have to wake up at 6 am to register for the next quarter, so i figured theres really no point in sleeping XD When i turned on the online TV, MUSIC STATION was on!! ahhhh, ive been such a terrible fan lately… Missed a huge portion of the Kokuchisezu rush and i almost forgot about MS?!?
Ai Kakumei sounds really latin-ish.
Almost like a mix between Ikanaide and Black Butterfly.
After a short ballad intro, Takki recited the following lines (copied from Saturn)…
「女と男のLOVEと書いて
これを革命と読みます
愛して愛されて
この永遠のテーマは
Girl loves Boy から始まるのです」
「Onna to otoko no LOVE to kaite
Kore wo kakumei to yomimasu
Aishite aisarete
Kono eien no tema wa
Girl loves Boy kara hajimaru no desu」
「Writing the LOVE of a woman and a man,
this is read as kakumei (a revolution)
To love and to be love
This eternal theme starts with Girl loves Boy」
** its an effed up translation, but I think this is what it means…
革 written in cursive looks like 女 (woman) on top of 男 (man). In Enbujou ‘08, 命 was written with the english letters L O V E. Ideally, 革命 looks like it spells out woman + man + love. But technically, it is read as kakumei (revolution) By this, he means that the love between a woman and a man can be revolutionary.
so i take it that this song is about US? (T v T)
Overall a really catchy song, but needs some getting use to… for me at least.
but the performance cracked me up, particularly because :
1) The song was produced by Takki and someone named MARK Davis. And Food Slave’s name is Mark. What an unpleasant coinkidink… OF ALL THE NAMES!!!
2) At the end, Takki started waving a baton like a orchestra conductor *LOLLL* it was awkwardly hilarious yet really cute…

owh… the food slave’s name is mark? LOL… how can the world it be so coincident?! haha…
i find ai kakumei to be somewhat artistic, it may be hard for some people to getting used to it but i like it, at least to my ears…
no matter what, i love to see takki singing again…
Overall I love the song. He said that he still wants to work on it though? I wonder how the final product will be. It actually reminded me a bit of ikanaide and serenade..some of the furitsuke seems soooooo familiar! XD
LOLs @ Food Slave remark.
bonnie, i find the baton part very funny but cute too…haha…
I, for one, rather liked the song. The musician’s pseudonym is Mark Davis, but in fact he is Japanese. Gomen, can’t remember his real name.
I liked the rhythm and the words. Not too sure about the baton, but that’s a very small thing.
Forgot to say this: Michelle, some time ago, mentioned the use of the kanji to spell out 革命. I had found it very interesting and rather clever.
Bon-chan, thanks for the lyrics
simone, Mark Davis’s another name is 馬飼野康二 (makaino Kouji).
