Lecture saved me
At around 1 pm today, a man stood in the middle of Red Square.
He drenched himself in gasoline and lit himself on fire.
It was a suicide, but no one knew who he was or why he did it.
At the time, I was inside Kane Hall, one of the buildings that surround the Red Square plaza. During lecture, i heard a really loud siren and thought nothing of it until lecture ended and i was on my way out of the building. I wondered why there werent a lot of people inside (there usually were) yet there was a crowd outside. I made my way through the crowd and saw a couple of parked police cars and an ambulance. In the middle of Red Square, there is a sitting area made of four gigantic brick slates. Between two of the slates, i saw some white stuff on the ground and several dark-colored items around it.
I left campus hurriedly, ducking under several crime scene barrier tapes that blocked people from entering Red Square. At first, i thought it was a stabbing or shooting… but when i got home and checked the Washington newsites, i found out it was a suicide that i fortunately did not witness.
i’m not sure what to make of this incident, to be honest…
i’m not sad or scared yet i am at the same time? its just weird.
Because why would someone choose to publicly commit suicide in such a horrific way?
In any case, my heart goes out to the victim’s family and friends.

Midterm week
i dont kno what i should write about…
i just kno that i have to write something before i completely give up on blogging.
I feel bad about neglecting blog-chan *lol* So bear with me.
i ate buffalo wings last night and had an allergic reaction to it…
an hour later, i had itchy red bumps alllll over my body and omg. i felt like Sassy with fleas.
It still kinda itches (and I’m trying to study for my JP Anthro midterm tomorrow!! *shitspants* LOL)
OTHER THAN THAT little tidbit about my personal life… Oh, almost forgot.
Yesterday, my uncle (i call him 叔父仔 because hes the youngest) in Hong Kong got food poisoning and had to be taken to the ER. Hes fine now, but the scary thing about that is : my second uncle (二叔父) had a dream about it the night before. He thought it was just a dream and freaked out when he got a phonecall from my aunt. Its creepy because its not the first time he’s had a dream about these incidents.
In 2004, my 二叔父 and his wife planned a trip to Phuket, Thailand. Three days before they were supposed to fly there, my uncle had a dream. My deceased grandma told him that he should call it off and she warned him that “two would go, but only one would come back.” My uncle and aunt decided to cancel their trip and three days later, Thailand was hit by the huge tsunami crisis.
i am not really superstitious or religious… but that, ladies and gentlemen, is CREEPY *goosebumps*
2 commentsShould be studying
it kinda frustrates me that i dont have time for my “fan life” anymore. And even when i do, i’m so exhausted from school work that i dont want to blog or do anything that requires further writing or reading. ARGHHHH *shakes fist at uni* I want my life back yo!!
… OMG. I just wrote a full length post about Tidbits… and Wordpress decided NOT to save my draft. Not only that, but it transferred me to a Comcast search site. So all the info that I took a half an hour to find + write… was gone. Unfuckinbelieveable. UGHHHHHHH *stabs stabs stabs + rewrites*

[Takki tidbits]
Takki attended the opening show of NEWS’ WINTER PARTY DIAMOND national tour, which started in Sendai. He made his appearance during the MC of the first show, a couple minutes after NEWS talked about the OP video. Requested by YamaP (via a phonecall ^^) Takki filmed and directed the opening vid for the con. In this video, NEWS were wearing white suits (hmm, sounds familiar…) and they were heading towards the “PARTY Hall.”
Because of this shoot, Takki appears in some of the con goods/ official photos. For pictures of the shop photos, please visit this blog.
During the performance of their new song (?), the bg screens showed what seemed like the “making of the OP video.” Takki was of course featured in it and at the end of the song + VTR, it said “Special Thanks HIDEAKI TAKIZAWA”
About the new rumor… Apparently, Takki produced the videos and arranged the music for a Sunday club event in Yokohama’s MM21 (Minato Mirai 21). This event is called “Infinity” and its held every 2-3 months. Occasionally, music artists are asked/invited to help produce the theme & entertainment for the event.
3 commentsStorytime~
I’m sure many of you already know the story 竹取物語 (Taketori Monogatari)
… aka the tale of the Bamboo Cutter. In case you dont, go [HERE]
浦島太郎 (Urashima Tarou)
Once upon a time, there was a guy named Urashima Tarou. One day, Tarou went fishing and coincidently saw a couple of kids torturing a small turtle. He saved it and a few days later, the grateful turtle came back and took him down to the bottom of the sea to the Palace of the Dragon. Little did he know, this little turtle was the princess of the sea palace. After a couple of days, Tarou insisted that he had to go back on land to see his sick mother. Before he left, the princess gave him a box and told him NEVER to open it. Tarou accepted the box and left.
However when he was back on land, he realized that his mother was no longer there and that 300 years had passed since he had left. Sad and confused, Tarou opened the box without thinking about what the princess had told him and *POOF* he turned into an old man. From the sea came the sad, sweet voice of the princess: “I told you not to open that box. In it was your old age …”

[Takki tidbits]
新春滝沢革命, pronounced Shinshun Takizawa Kakumei (New Years Takizawa Revolution) will be the 3rd Johnny’s production to take place at the Imperial Theatre. First one was DREAM BOY, second was SHOCK, and now, it is TakiRev.
There are two acts in the play :
Act One is about a compilation of Japanese traditional folklores - stories like Urashima Tarou and Kaguya Hime (which I will elaborate more on in another post)
Act Two is about the “opening of Pandora’s Box” - here, Takki will be acting as a 80 year old in the year 2060, the end of life on Earth.
Today, Johnny-san also announced that Takki will be composing the TakiRev themesong and this song will be released in a solo single. The CD will supposedly be on-sale on the same day that TakiRev starts. Takki said that it is a good thing to offer the audience something different than what he usually does/offers, therefore he’ll put everything into composing this song. He also said that he is very happy to be able to spend the new years with everyone and that he and Tsubasa will be performing at the Johnny’s Countdown. That means Takki will not have a lot of time to rest before his first show at 17:00 the next day.
5 commentsPLEASE NO… omg
my heart sank when i read about Takizawa Revolution (滝沢革命),
a potential 38-show butai from January 1 ~27.
October 31 is the deadline for ballots.
i shouldve seen it coming cause these past two days, people at Saturn and at the uwasa BBSs have been talking about ”Takki & Jrs?” and ”January solo activity??” But most people replied w/ messages like ”Uso-ppoi” (which means “looks like a lie”). Until this morning when someone said something about receiving a blue envelope…
[EDIT]
The official announcement should be coming soon?
To be completely honest, i’ve never been so disappointed about a new Takki butai…
Like i should be really happy deshou!?! UGH WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME.
i think im just feeling moody from all the stress XD
ご理解って!?
There was a message for fans on J-Net.
JE is asking us to contact them if we find sales/auction sites that are having concert ticket campaigns. In other words, this whole thing is about JE’s attempt to abolish dafuya tickets. In their explanation, they stated that these sellers are “taking advantage” of fans and that its dangerous to purchase tickets online from anonymous sellers.
Oh, my favorite sentence in the whole thing (even tho its hard to translate):
ファンの皆さんが犯罪被害者になることはタレントが一番悲しいことです
To the talents, fans becoming criminals is the saddest thing of all /
It makes the talents sad if their fans become criminals.

J-Web updated TOPICS (source : J-Net)
You can now order the set of Takki’s CM Offshots on J-Web.
Takki was apparently a guest on TV Asahi’s [LEADER’S HOW TO BOOK]
(hosted by TOKIO-senpai’s Joushima Shigeru-san and Tamura Kenji-san)
Tamura-san wrote about it at his blog and took a pic of the script.
the blog entry was dated 10/4, so im guessing the recording was on the same day.
*ahem* Takizawa-san, this was not the type of promo i was asking forrrrr
(even tho we’ll get to see ur new hair ♥ which i heard was dyed back to BLACK ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ )
unless u were promoting a new single… as;dlkfj;lk *crosses fingers*
but i agree with the Japanese fans.
At the KoiUta event, T&T said that will be a Kuricon this year.
I guess we just have to believe in them.
